We Love the Planet are based in The Netherlands and stock lip balms, sunscreen, handcare, diffusers and household accessories.

The deodorants are available in a tin or stick packaging.  The same ingredients are used in both the stick and the can but the deodorant in the tin is a bit softer and the stick is a bit more solid. Most of the deodorants contain beeswax but there are products without this (Luscious Lime and Soft & Sweet, this one is also sodium bicarbonate free) but these can be tricky to find.

I went a bit wild with this one – although I am very sensitive to most strong smells, I can usually tolerate citrus orangey smells and neroli orange is one of my favourite scents, so when I saw an orange scented deodorant, I thought I’d be brave.. 

The fragrance is divine and I can tolerate it for most of the time, which I’m so happy about. Having said that, there is a lighter scented, sodium bicarbonate free option if you need to avoid these ingredients. 

 

 

How to use We Love the Planet deodorant

Ensure your skin is dry before applying. For the deodorants that are in a cardboard tube,  you simply (but carefully) push the bottom of the inner tube up to move the product up. Take care not to push the product up too much, as you can’t push it down again and it will squish on to the tube lid… 

I found this a little firmer than some of the other deodorants but still soft to use and like the other stick deodorants, it’s probably a good idea to let the product warm up a little on your skin, so move slooowly when applying.  

As this is quite a soft product, it's quite easy to apply too much which made my underarms sticky (eugh!)  - just a couple of swipes should be enough and let the product dry before putting your clothes on.

For the deodorants in the tin, you could apply these with your fingertips or with a spatula.

If the product does get too soft, just pop it in the refrigerator for an hour or so to harden.

So  - how did this go? 

This was perfect - it worked well and lasted whole day with no rash or irritation.

There is a lighter fragranced option which is really important to me but there's lots of interesting fragrances for you to try if you want to!

Cocos nucifera (coconut)  oil, sodium bicarbonate, zea mays (corn) starch, cera alba (beeswax), caprylic / capric triglyceride, olea europaea fruit (olive) oil, citrus reticulata (orange) peel oil, limone, hypericum perforatum flower extract, helianthus annus (sunflower) seed extract, linalool 

Would I recommend Your Nature deodorant?

Definitely yes - the fragrances are great and last a long time, there's a lighter scented version without  sodium bicarbonate, some without beeswax and two different types (stick and tin)  - so lots of options but some are trickier to find.

I tested the stick version and found it to be firmer than other products however it worked well and it's easy to use.
