Too ‘wet’ for me but that’s my personal preference |
Take a look at Salt of the Earth products
As I love the Salt of the Earth Crystal so much, I thought I’d try some other unscented Salt of the Earth deodorants and the next one I tried was in the roll on version.
I’ve never been a fan of the roll-ons – they’re just too wet for me – I can’t be hanging around, waiting for my deodorant to dry, so this was a product that I wouldn’t usually use but wanted to try something different to the rest of the products on test.
The roll-on is in a plastic case which is refillable - each refill bottle contains enough for 7 refills.
I chose the unscented version but there are lots of scented versions available..
Balm, stick and spray versions are also available, in different scents, so there's plenty to choose from!
Although this has more ingredients than the crystal, they are stated as being 100% natural .. but I have had to check what some of these ingredients are!
How to use Salt of the Earth roll on deodorant
You use this just as you would any other roll on deodorant but as I'm not a fan of roll on deodorant, I really wasn't keen on this.
Salt of the Earth are making lots of improvements to their roll on range, such as faster drying time, ingredients to help reduce sweat and moisture absorbing ingredients. The product that I tested had sodium bicarbonate in it but the latest version doesn't have this.
How effective is Salt of the Earth roll on deodorant?
So - how did this go?
This did work well and lasted whole day with no rash or irritation.
Potassium Alum is used in these products to help reduce sweating and reduce bacteria growth, rather than Aluminium Chlorohydrate.
Potassium Alum is comprised of large molecules that sit on top of the surface of the skin, creating a barrier. Aluminium Chlorohydrate, is comprised of much smaller molecules than Potassium Alum allowing it to be absorbed by the skin and plugging the sweat glands, preventing the release of sweat and unwanted chemicals in the body.
What is Salt of the Earth roll on fragrance?
I chose the unscented option which is really important to me but there's lots of interesting fragrances in this range.

Would I recommend Salt of the Earth roll on deodorant?
Definitely yes -This is unscented and super effective but I'm (still) not keen on roll on deodorants. If you prefer roll on deodorants, this could be a good option for you to try.
