Take a look at Cosy Cottage deodorants
I love Cosy Cottage products – they tick so many of my boxes.
They are a family run company in Yorkshire and their products are free of all the bad things and crammed full of all the good things!
All products are vegetarian (some vegan), they have a ‘baby range’, a pet range, gift boxes, craft kits, gift vouchers, all their products are super caring and suitable for sensitive skin and their packaging is fully recyclable or compostable. Oh…. and postage is sometimes free !
Their natural deodorants are aluminium free, plastic free, paraben free, alcohol free, palm oil free, vegan and not tested on animals.
The deodorants are packed in recyclable/reusable tins and fragranced with essential oils. They are available in 2 sizes and 2 fragrances.
How to use Cosy Cottage deodorant
To use this type of deodorant, scoop a very small amount of the natural deodorant product from the tin with clean fingertips (or a spatula, if this is too messy for you) and apply onto your underarm skin.
Another way of applying the product is to dip the back of your index finger in to the tin, you only pick up a little bit of the product and you can then directly apply this to your underarms – your own built-in applicator! There’s a video showing you how to do this, on their website.
How effective is Cosy Cottage deodorant?
This was super effective and one application would last me more than a day (at a push!)
What is the Cosy Cottage deodorant fragrance?
There are 2 fragrances - Geranium, Lavender and Tea Tree and Sandalwood and Tea Tree.
I tried the Geranium, Lavender and Tea Tree version - it's a little too strong for me (I am sensitive strong smells) - but if you can tolerate this scent, then this is a great deodorant and I found it to be very effective.
Subscription service and charity support
Cosy Cottage provide a subscription service for many of their products, so you need never run out.
You can earn loyalty points with your purchases and during the pandemic, you had the option to include a donation of a hand cream to a local hospital. They also support many charities - I love these guys…
Here’s the ingredients:
Coconut oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, cornflour, bicarbonate of soda, essential oils (lavender, tea tree, grapefruit and geranium OR sandalwood and tea tree)
Would I recommend Cosy Cottage deodorant?
Definitely yes – it’s very effective, easy to use (with a spatula if you want to), the company has strong charitable and eco credentials and it’s natural, vegan, cruelty-free, SLS-free and aluminium-free.
It really is a great product - works well and has good eco credentials - what more could you ask for !
