I’m Mandy – interested in all things natural living and calm inducing.

Not long ago, it occurred to me that my hobbies and interests were all similarly mindful activities – natural world, gardening, painting, walking, sewing, singing and I’ve recently taken up crochet – my mother couldn’t believe those last two!

What I love doing..

I love spending time outdoors, especially walking in Cornwall and we’ve recently ‘discovered’ Devon - I know it’s been there a long time but we’ve only just started to visit..

I play and used to teach piano and I’m part of a great singing group, in Got2Sing – please take a look if you’re interested.

What’s important to me..

Vegetarian and vegan cooking has been a big part of my life for 40 years and it’s much more mainstream now than it was 40 years ago, when it was mainly lentils and whole wheat pasta, which I’m still partial to though..

I’m sensitive to strong fragrances, so I’m always looking for products that are kind to my skin and nose – I’ll be trying out lots of these, so keep an eye on my reviews, if these will help you.

It’s important to me that, where possible, products I use are ethical and have low environmental impact - I’m by no means perfect on these but as with most things in life, I try my best and am always looking to be better.

Just Pure Calm

I try to remain positive and not be judgmental and that’s the basis for my life and this website - please be kind and respectful here.

With that in mind, I’d like to explain Just Pure Calm..

• Calm life – this is mental, physical and emotional wellbeing – your ‘whole life’, not just physical well being
• Calm planet – this is doing what we can to look after our wonderful planet
